The HTRR Hydraulic-Set Retrievable Packer is a high-performance packer designed for isolating the annulus from the production conduit. It is set by applying predetermined tubing pressure after running a tubing plugging device below the packer. A segmented internal slip ensures that the packer remains securely in position after setting.
This packer features an upper hold-down button slip and a lower dovetail slip, which provide strong anchoring against differential pressure. The button slip is activated by annulus pressure from below, securing the packer against upward forces, while the lower dovetail slip holds the packer against downward forces. This design allows for easy retraction after release.
The packer is released by a simple straight upward pull on the tubing string, and the release force is field-adjustable to meet specific operational requirements. The HTRR packer is particularly suitable for deep and deviated wells and can be used in single or multiple packer completions.
