The BTAR hydraulic-set permanent packer is a high-performance, millable production packer designed for single or multi-zone completions. It features an enlarged upper seal bore to provide the largest possible internal diameter through the packer and seal assembly.
This packer is set by applying tubing pressure, eliminating the need for tubing movement or rotation during the setting process. Designed with a slim-line construction, it offers greater running clearance, enabling faster deployment and reducing the risk of premature setting.
It is particularly well-suited for high-angle deviated wells, horizontal wells, or applications where a mechanically set packer is unsuitable. The packer allows for the use of an anchor seal assembly, which latches into the upper seal bore, ensuring a premium sealing system between the tubing and casing. Additionally, a packer bore receptacle can be installed above the packer for floating seal applications.
The bottom of the packer can be configured to attach a mill-out extension or other standard packer accessories.
