The hydraulic digital decoder is a core component of the intelligent completion system, capable of controlling multiple downhole target-layer interval control valves (ICVs) using two hydraulic control lines from the surface.
When it is necessary to open or close the target-layer flow control valve, the surface operator only needs to apply and release pressure in a specific sequence through the control lines. The hydraulic counting decoder will then decode the pressure signals and connect or disconnect the target-layer flow control valve downhole, enabling remote control.
