The Gravel Pack System is designed to enable multiple cased and perforated zones to be gravel packed in a single trip, significantly reducing rig time, manpower, and formation damage risks. Unlike conventional single-zone gravel pack systems, which require multiple trips to perforate, run tools, and complete each zone separately, this system allows for continuous multi-zone completion in a single operation.
The system is modular and consists of:
- CS Sump Packer
- Multiple GL Isolation Packers
- FS Top Packer
- Accessories including sleeves, seal bores, anti-fluid-loss valves, etc.
Each isolation packer is set immediately before gravel packing each zone, eliminating the need for ball dropping to set the top packer.
Additionally, the system supports high-rate frac-packing. A weight-down force can be applied during pumping operations to prevent tubing movement, while high-strength pumping ports are engineered to withstand heavy sand loads.
The service tool string includes a one-way and two-way shifting tool, allowing for closing the sliding sleeve after the gravel pack is completed. This minimizes completion fluid loss and reduces formation damage risks.
✅ Single-Trip Multi-Zone Completion – Eliminates the need for multiple trips, saving rig time and costs.
✅ No Ball-Drop Required for Top Packer Setting – Enhances operational efficiency.
✅ Sequential Isolation Packer Setting – Set each packer right before gravel packing, ensuring efficient zone isolation.
✅ High-Rate Frac-Packing Compatibility – Handles high sand loading and pressure, supporting frac-pack operations.
✅ Weight-Down During Pumping – Prevents tubing movement, ensuring stable placement.
✅ High-Strength Pumping Ports – Designed to withstand high sand loads without erosion or damage.
✅ Advanced Sliding Sleeve Closure Mechanism – The one-way and two-way shifting tools allow for closing sleeves after gravel packing, minimizing completion fluid loss and formation damage.
🔹 Multi-Zone Gravel Pack Completions – Allows for efficient gravel packing of multiple zones in a single trip.
🔹 High-Rate Frac-Packing – Suitable for high-pressure operations with high sand loading.
🔹 Formation Damage Prevention – Reduces completion fluid loss and minimizes formation contamination risks.
